What does the Navy think about laser eye surgery? Would it disqualify me from being a SEAL?
If my vision is worse than the minimum for SEALs, could I have it corrected by laser eye surgery and still be eligible?
DETAILS: only intelligent people answer please!!
Roughly how much would laser eye surgery cost from a reliable hospital? Any age restrictions and risks?
Is there a specific age the patient has to be, and how bad does their eyesight have to be to not be eligibile for surgery? Mine is -4.75 and -4.25
Does laser eye surgery disqualify you from being a military pilot?
I have done some reading about some pilot programs in a few of the military branches. I came across something interesting that stated: If you have had laser eye surgery in the past, you are disqualified from becoming a pilot. Is this true?
My next question is, if it is in fact true, why would that disqualify you? Laser eye surgery can correct your vision back to 20/20 and that’s what pilots are suppose to have correct? So wheres the logic in that?
can you successfully use laser eye surgery to repair the eyes of those blind from birth?
seriously
i know this may sound stupid but for some reason it keeps appearing feasible in my head on a scientific standpoint
Will television / the computer hinder my recovery from laser eye surgery?
This past Tuesday I had PRK laser eye surgery to correct my vision. They informed me that I should avoid television and the computer for 24 hours after the surgery but didn’t say anything about the days after that. I’ve been watching television and going on the computer for more and more time over the past 3 days. My eyes are no longer light sensitive and I can see fairly well – the only thing that is bothering me is the contacts that I have in my eyes to protect them (I’m getting them removed tomorrow
). My dad insisted I should start watching television more since it will strengthen my eyes and I’m wondering if he’s right?
Thanks for any responses!
